Swatch and Review – Kylie Kozy Nail Polish

Heyyy! So, I’m super excited to bring you the first swatches of the Kylie Jenner nail polishes I purchased while in the US!

I got this in a Walgreen’s for $2.99 plus tax (was constantly forgetting about the tax when I thought I had a bargain). I got a few colours but decided to do Kozy first.

It’s a dusty-looking lilac in the bottle and you can see a little gold shimmer. Kozy is from the Trend Matters Demi-Matte collection – if you’re familiar with my nail reviews you’ll know I’m not overly keen on matte finishes so was really hoping the “demi” part was true ๐Ÿ˜Š

So, onto business (please forgive my awful nail/cuticle condition๐Ÿ˜–) –

One load of the brush (and it was loaded off quite a bit) did 3 nails, one being the pinky. Iย  feel you could do one coat of this – it’s quite pretty and you can only see the nail line up close, if you do thicker coats that mine, you really could wear just one for a delicate effect.

This colour dries quickly like most mattes do so there wasn’t much wait before coat two! The second coat brought out the lilac and gold shimmer a little more.ย  Want to mention that this looked like it would set streaky while applying but somehow this polish sorts itself out.

I didn’t take a pic of just coat 3 ๐Ÿ˜ž (there wasn’t much difference between it and coat 2 tbh) but I do have 3 coats along with the topcoat.

I used Seche Vite as the top coat and it didn’t bring out the shimmer as much as it usually magically does.ย  The shimmer was still really muted and not all that noticeable.

At a Glance Notes

Coats Needed – 2

Finish – Matte

Colour Fam’ – Lilac

Overall, I feel this colour would be suited to most skin tones – pale or tan. It’s great if you want a dusty-looking finish, and especially great considering the price.
